Daniel Robert Doughty, a sweet, active, young man of 29 years, passed suddenly on the evening of April 16 from a cardiac issue. His loving kindness, humble ways, artistic talents and curiosity will be missed forever.
Daniel had an extreme love of nature from the time that he could walk. He found great peace in the solitude of hikes. Daniel was an obvious artist from a very young age, with art being his favorite subject in school; he also enjoyed creating music and writing.
He leaves behind parents, Scott and Sharon; a sister Katrina. He also leaves behind his artistic mentor and friend, Mario Uribe. Through Daniel’s kindness and love of others, he also leaves behind many friends that will miss the long talks, the times of art, and the hours of making music that they enjoyed with Daniel over the years.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to Daniel Doughty Healing Arts through North Bay Cancer Alliance in memory of Daniel Robert Doughty.

The Daniel Doughty Healing Arts Fund
Daniel was quick to share his resources and his time to help strangers, family and friends. In that same spirit, we have created the Daniel Doughty Healing Arts Fund.
The Daniel Doughty Arts Healing Fund will provide art therapy to youth, and community members with cancer.
